I cried, laughed, sighed, hated, smiled, fell in love, all the things that happen in real life. And that's what wonderful about this story. "Been there, done that" kind of feeling. You can't make up most of the things in this story of two people destined to be together, even though it's a rough road to get there.I loved the first book and couldn't put this one down. Can't wait to read the next one about Claire and Kyle.

I really enjoyed this tale, and I’m glad I read it. The characters were well created and introduced. The chemistry between the characters was plausible and drew my interest. Their personalities meshed well, without being overblown. I loved the occasional shout outs to some of my favorite books and movies, such as Princess Bride. The ‘mysterious past’ bit got a little annoying, but I’m glad it was strung out because it worked. The Australian accent was nicely subtle, just a few phrases here and there to remind the reader where the main character was from. I loved the end note about the different versions of the story, especially as one critique would have been for Jason to have a deeper menace in the story. But it seems the author already explored that option and it was too dark. I recommend this book who like romances with lots of tangles and happy endings. The biggest quibble I have is that the paragraphs had big chunks that weren’t indented. That inconsistent formatting made it difficult to read and keep track of the paragraphs, but the overall editing was good.
Start Over (Start Again Series Book Two) by J. Saman is such a full, amazing love story! The way this book starts out as told in the description is SO entertaining! There is a little confusion in recognition between Ivy and Luke and the author worked that out perfectly! I felt pretty invested early on. By the end of this book, I really felt a part of their world especially with the inclusion of characters from book one. J. Saman tells a very good story and I love her writing. This book is told from both points of view and told so wholeheartedly. I really felt these two! Loved that epilogue!
I recently read book one, Start Again, Ryan and Kate's book, and it was one of my favorite books that I read last year. It was adventurous and adorable. Book two, Start Over is Luke and Ivy's book and this was a little more complicated but also very heart-grabbing. Luke is Ryan's best friend and his IT security business partner in Seattle. We met Luke in book one when Ryan and Kate (Duchess Kate as Luke playfully calls her) finally get to Seattle after their country-wide road trip as strangers. Go grab that one and get started if you haven't already!
This is a book of complicated love. It broke my heart in a few spots but I enjoyed hanging on and rooting for this couple. If I were to re-title this book it would be called, "When Love is Not Enough," because Luke and Ivy did not lack in love, affection or adoration of one another during their struggles. I would also call it, "Third Time is a Charm." Three times these two connected...and I never felt like their connection was only physical...they just fit in every way. Beautiful. The author did a great job endearing them both to the reader. I loved this line from Luke, "This girl just has me. Its not even wanting. It's way beyond wanting. We're bordering on need here. Big, fat, ugly need."
I loved Aussie Ivy Green, the accomplished doctor who seemed to keep the tall, brown-eyed, mischievous, nerdy Luke's heart on its knees. I enjoyed this couple and all they went through. I got lost in it actually which makes a great book for me. Parts of the book were hard, especially where I needed Luke to come forth with his back-story as much as Ivy did. Ivy did her best to give Luke space but I loved this line from her "You need to stop hiding behind your own ish." Thankfuly, this author delivered everything in good time. Nothing was rushed, details were galore and inner and spoken dialogue were great! Loved the side characters.
The first book was so good, I had to get the sequel. Couldn't put it down. You will enjoy the book like I did. So I fully recommend this book for the romantics out there in the world.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. The storyline was fast paced, there were no unnecessary chapters, everything fits together really well. This is the 3rd book I've read by J Saman and it will definitely not be the last. Would highly recommend.
This is the 2nd book of the series that deals with Luke + Ivy meeting again 10 years after their one night stand. Loved the chemistry between them. Had a hard time putting this book down wondering how they would overcome his past and her leaving in a month. It was a beautifully written and heart wrenching story.
I did not read the 1st book in the series but it wasn't really necessary. However I've already bought the next book, looking forward to more of this author. J. Saman is becoming one of my favorite new author.
Start Over is Ivy and Luke’s story. We get a glimpse of Luke in Start AgAin. First, I love that we get to see characters from the other books in this series and they actually play a decent role in this book, not just cameos.
Like the other characters, Luke and Ivy are well developed, emotional and deep. Their journey is tumultuous and dramatic. It’s forgiving and loving and patient. An amazing story as part of an even more amazing series.
A deeply emotional tale of two people who had come together as a one-night stand ten years ago and then parted. Their reunion was awkward, uncomfortable, and trying...but there was no denying the spark between them. Many obstacles stood in their way...a heartfelt journey that does not disappoint!
